You know any chance we get to get out of town we'll take it :) My friends family has a beach house at Newport which they use quite a bit and rotate between family members. Well one of their weekends they couldn't make it out so when thinking about who would go last minute, they thought of us first :) We couldn't take full advantage of the whole weekend since Jayson had a basketball game that I couldn't talk him out of missing...so we took off right after his game Saturday morning.
as soon as we got there in the afternoon, went straight to the beach
got farther in, did some boogie boarding
well tried to anyway, the girls are still learning
after beach and showering up, had dinner at a sushi spot around the corner
then enjoyed our desserts from the donut shop back at the house on the patio...so convenient and nice being steps away from the beach and restaurant, shop area
next morning got our coffee and enjoyed a walk on the pier
so many surfers out
then did one of our favorite things to do in Newport, ride bikes
rode down to balboa pier for lunch
boys got to play their arcade games
after the ride back, packed up and headed home...one night, but made the most of the two days we had there. It always feels longer than what it really is which is good :)
