Zappos Vendor Party

annual party this year was at Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq...party was 80's theme, anywhere from the bright colors and jelly bracelets to the adidas track suits

we actually spent most of the night at the silent dance floor.  I had recently heard and seen pics about it and thought it would be weird, but actually really fun especially when they are playing all the best songs.  Two stations to choose from, but you can tell who is listening to the same one as you.

The rest of the night we spent front row to wait for Biz Markie, he DJ'd, paid respect to all the greats and then sang...Best part was when he asked who was from the Bay Area before they played I got five on it, proud moment :)
Slick Rick opened up for him...brought back memories of old school days, house parties in San Jose :)  I like how he brought out his wife and told us to stay in committed relationships cause that raises up happy children.
Not gonna lie, probably the tamest vendor party for me yet :)

a day at Zion National Park

This whole time we've lived in Vegas, we always heard how beautiful Zion was and finally made it out there...only a 2.5 hour drive .  We are usually driving the other way to the beach especially Labor  Day weekend, but we decided to go east and do something different.  I told them we were going on an adventure.  They pouted and were being lazy about going, but then ended up loving it. I told them so :)
Took 2 shuttles, one from the town to the park, then from the park all they up to the last stop.  First part was the river walk, then about a mile on land...
then into The Narrows, which is a hike through the water
here we go...
was so fun, weather was perfect...those sticks were so helpful as the water had lots of rocks, so you had to feel around to keep from falling.  Before the park entrance, we rented sock, shoes and the stick from an adventure company, thank goodness we did!  It made it so much easier to get around.

some parts they got deep in
 especially this one

 selfie time :)
pulled over and took pics in any indent things that looked like little caves

just so beautiful

they did good, no whining in the water only when hiking on the land part :)

One of the nice things about Vegas is your surrounded by different places each direction not too far away...Socal beaches, Red Rocks, Grand Canyon, Utah...many places for us to explore!
