Food Frenzie

I just realized I have had PB&J in three different forms this month :) Funny cause I don't care much for a PB&J sandwich, but love it on a bagel and in these...
the top is a PB&J Brioche at Bread & Butter, this cute breakfast/dessert place in Henderson...their food is okay, I would rather go just for the pastries/desserts, especially their sticky buns, the PB&J Brioche up top, which has peanut butter baked into the bread and then filled with Jelly in the center, and the bottom is a passion fruit donut...yum!
PB&J dessert pizza at Sugar Factory!
PB&J ice-cream at the Cosmopolitan Buffet. Now I just have to try and make these peanut butter and jelly cookies that I saw on pinterest :)
2nd time at the Cosmo buffet...had some different things so had to re-post, especially since the pots are so darn cute...my favorite was the rice, beans, pork and plantains.
brunch food is my fav...pancakes were yummy!
and dessert, still only one flavor of macarons though :)

Lunch/Late Brunch date for me and Jay...posted this on FB, but we had a genius idea, which I am shocked Jay actually went through with it, cause he's usually the paranoid one...we set the kids up in the movie theater and then enjoyed the sun at the restaurant right outside the theater, Double Helix...we could see the front entrance of the theater in case anyone tried to run out with the kids :) gave Jayme our cell-phone and her first real babysitting gig...she did good, they watched Journey 2 :)

Love Brie and Puff Pastry!
had a little wine flight...confirmed again that the only white wine we like is riesling or moscato, otherwise we would rather have red :) exception is a "sweet chardonnay" that I had once
the small plates were really good...Double Helix in Town Square is one of our new favs because there is patio seating, prices are reasonable, menu has a good variety and everything we've tasted so far has been good, $15 for a 3 course brunch or $10 and under small plates with a free mimosa :) I love Brunch!Align Center

Jay's bday

Jay's birthday started out with "Dress like Jay Day"...so cute of his team to put together...so funny!
this meant wear your deepest V Neck and/or a scarf and a hat :) See below for a clearer picture...hee!
and only Jay would get Ube cake for his birthday :)
cake #2 was from the kids from one of their favorite places, DQ
just like last year, surprised daddy when he got home
That weekend I took Jay to STK in the Cosmopolitan, a place we've both been wanting to try...he says his birthday is really like my birthday since he let's me pick where I want to go :)
the best part of the meal was the bread, so soft and yummy and we finished every last drop of the chive dip...Jay is going to try and make it...was so good and from what the waitress said, so easy to make at home

I got the filet, oscar style...was pretty delish, but I like it better at Hank's where it's less saucy
nothing on their dessert menu sounded good, so we went across the way to Holsteins for a fun dessert
was a good date night, fun this time of year when our birthdays are back to back :)

Jaylin's Baptism

Big month for Jaylin, she asked to get Baptized and we couldn't be happier she did!

Right before she gets dunked, they play her video, which she totally wrote all by herself...her up on the big screen :)

afterwards they had a little reception for all the kids who got baptized
yummy cake!
the family that came  to support her!

then of course she chose asian buffet for where she wanted to eat after so she could have her shrimp & crab

the day after we went to build a bear to use her gift card from Auntie Nin and she made herself a baptism bear...Thanks Auntie Nin!

and ate at Cheeburger Cheeburger where she had been wanting to do the burger challenge for kids so she could get her picture up on the wall...the little Jelly Bean did it.  "I may be small, but I can eat" are her exact words :)
