a few good brunches...

went up to the bay for some last minute family stuff and as always the girls were able to pull a last minute brunch date together...as you know I love brunch, love them!
my first time at Village Cafe at Santana Row...was a perfect day out for some brunch drinks!

eggs benedict was especially good because it was on puff pastry

 and the brie was yum!

and Shirls sent me home with one of my favorite treats :)
me and the hubs were able to enjoy a nice brunch outside...set the kids up to watch Ice Age across the way :)
nice thing about Double Helix is they switch up their menu...this time, a taro pancake
 steak and eggs

and nutella toast for dessert...the taro pancake was better
brunch is always a treat for me!

sweet tooth

Macaron Day...had always wanted to learn how to make them, but after reading the directions thought it was too much work!  Vanessa had made them before so she graciously offered to help us make them
I mean we had Tip's fancy mixer and macaron wine, what could go wrong :)
started out right...white and fluffy...
but they ended up a little flat :)
had the yummy taste of a macaron, especially the almond chewy stuff
but just looked more like a florentine :)  good try for us though...

and always fun to have a reason to get together and hang out

made some other treats for us...saw this on pinterest, brownie mix with a marshmallow...pretty good, the marshmallow made it mooshy, chewy
this boy loved helping!

sweet find this month was chocolate covered macarons at the Bouchon Bakery!  They truly are a treasure :)
