XOXOXOXO

fun tins at Smith's inspired me to make some heart brownies for co-workers/friends :)

love my heart cutter!

Jay and the kiddies got a little something too...I'm the one that buys some of the junk at the store that you think nobody ever buys...hee!
work had the new candy shop downtown come to the office for a fun candy bar!
finished out the day with a team Valentine's treat at Crepe Shack...was just a bad bad, but sweet day :)
Since we actually  made Valentine's plans this year, we took the kids out beforehand for some korean bbq and pazookies...wanted to try something different for them to do...

they had a good time, too bad I wasn't a fan of the place...just wasn't tasty with the exception of the korean bbq, everything else was kinda blah, the squid was better which you would think all the different types of bbq would have been?
yes, pazookies always make us full and happy :)
Melissa was in town for the Color Run Valentine's weekend so we did our first triple date :)
love my sissys
had been wanting to try StripSteak for their duck fat fries, was pretty good, not as good as red robin or anything...hee!  They are complimentary which is nice and different from the usual bread or chips
They have a pretty good prix fixe menu...yummy crab cake to start...
some filet, which was really good...also came with mac&cheese which was also really good!
cookies and root beer floats...fun dessert, haven't had a root beer float in forever!  Overall, a really good Valentines day full of treats, dinner, flowers from the hubby...he always finds the perfect cards too and included this in there...he knows how much I enjoy my coffee time...it's the little things, love him :)

Jayme Rae...

got three bday wishes...bday month foreal :)
first with the family...she asked to go skating with the family, it worked out aunties & uncles were in town...Lord knows it does take a village to raise kids, couldn't do it without them!
quick goodies for the family...got the most out of my heart cutter this year :)
on her real bday went out for her favorite bbq spare ribs at Pin Kaow
 then with her friends
they started off curly each other's hair...pizza, smore's, cake, candy...
scoop and taste, scoop and taste :)
quick and easy party favors since it was a little last minute...she had no idea what she wanted to do with her friends...got good use of the leftover heart stickers that came with their valentine cards for school :)
they listened to music, played with Jayson's bey blades and then this text/phone game where I think you send a message, put the phones in the middle and then guess you sent you the message?  Not quire sure :)  It was the first time I didn't have to do games or hang around, I actually just set things up and let them hang out downstairs...so weird!
the girl is getting so big
still so trippy, she was really such a good little girl and still a good kid, big sister, very motherly, Dee said she tells/orders/screams at Jaylin and Jayson just like me :)  Love her, but boy can she be grumpy and over-dramatic...I hear it only gets worse!  God help us!  No joke, time our church offers the class "How to Love yolur teen without losing your mind" we are so signing up :)

One of Tip's Bucket List items was to run a 5k, so her bff Amanda planned it for us to run it together

so much fun, didn't get as dirty as I thought we would!  I wasn't sure what to expect, I was thinking you get splashed the whole time, but it is spread out by color stations...
we were team "color me bestie"

was so happy I ran the whole thing...felt good, although it did feel shorter than a 5k, but I'll take it :)

waiting for the end where they had one last color cloud where everyone jumps around getting splashed with more color!
was nice that zappos sponsored it and had a kids play area, even a painting station, too busy they missed me at the finish line :(  the run was weird and didn't have us all start at the same time, in groups, so we didn't find each other til the very end, oh well!
 getting his hoola hoop on
 scary I know!
the following weekend did a Dessert Dash with some old and current co-workers...I actually thought it may be a legit run, and how could I have not known about it given the name, but it was actually Amara and Daisy that planned it out...so my kind of run!  I stole Patra's hashtag as I love it and it is so me #iruntoeat :)

original Zappos Planners, I was number 4 or 5, Todd was visiting from NY so it was a special event!
started at Luv-it for the Western which was caramel, pecans and yum!

it was about a 5 mile run all together with stops in between for dessert, the longest leg was about 2 miles, so at least got a good consistent run in :)
running on the strip was freezing!
2nd stop was Grand Luxe at Palazzo for beignets...they were okay, hard to compete when you've had them in N'awlins at Cafe du Monde :)
3rd stop Serendipity's for a fried oreo sundae and frozen hot chocolates...pb&j was my favorite
still freezing, the ice cream didn't help :)
4th stop at the Cosmo with a dinner break at Secret Pizza and Salted Caramel Budino at D.O.C.G
last stop Todd English's with Todd :)
bread budding was too burnt on top, not soft like I am used to so wasn't a fan, but I was a big fan of the lobster roll, so good!
so to sum up, the lobster roll was my favorite followed by the salted caramel budino, net net, we burned more calories than we ate since we all were sharing, taking bites :)  Fun times with Zappos fam!  Dessert Dash pare deux is coming April 6th :)
love this picture of Jayson's hair...one weekend afternoon Jay told the kids if they can do a run around the neighborhood without stopping he would treat to sweet addiction...

they were up for the challenge since Sweet Addiction isn't just ice-cream but an extra special treat, Thrifty's ice-cream and cookies!  They did good, almost a mile...Jaylin was the one that stopped a little saying her usual "my legs hurt," but we pushed her along

the first time I went I didn't care for it that much, the second time I went I loved it, so it's all about the cookie ice-cream combination :)  You would think chocolate chip would be good, but for me as long as the cookies are snickerdoodle and/or peanut butter, I'm good
and traditional Thrifty's flavors like malted crunch :)  I did try the circus animal cookie flavor that was pink, which was good but too sweet

the kids usually don't get it as a sandwich but separately and will dip their cookies in the ice-cream, their fav is cotton candy ice cream and chocolate chip cookies :)
