mother-to-be and bride-to-be

So fun to throw one of our bestest friends at Zappos a baby shower...

known as the zappos wolf pack right here :)
 was elephant theme...yummy snack table!
the cake, cupcakes and cookie favors were from Zucchero Bakery here in Las Vegas, one of the best!  Blue and Brown elephants, animal crackers, gumballs and marshmallow peanut candies.  Food was from whole foods.
got this fun idea from pinterest to decorate and leave with the new mom...washcloths and a spoon and then you put them in a bucket like flowers :)

Congrats Moxa and Pato!  So excited for you guys!

was nice to have the scu gang come to Vegas to celebrate Johannah's last single days!

first night was at Lavo...thought this was a very cool twilightish picture :)
second night we all played dress up in purple, even got our make-up done :)
 with my beautiful roomies
the sexies from the other room
dinner at Scarpetta in the Cosmo

followed by table service at Marquee...always fun to relive our college days :)
Congrats to the beautiful bride-to-be Johannah!

las vegas hidden gem...DW Bistro

One of our new favorite brunch places is DW Bistro in the southwest area of Las Vegas, so close to us.  Not everything on the menu is good, but there are a good chunk of things that are that make it a place we love to go to
plus it's super cute and the service isn't bad, very modern, clean and sassy looking...they are usually so busy for Sunday Brunch, we went for a late lunch/brunch at 1pm and got seated right away, once I went at 11am and waited 45 minutes...they will serve you drinks while you wait though :)
the pastry basket is a must...pastries are yummy, usually have some kind of guava pastry, fruit scones, chocolate croissants, muffins
and brunch drinks are always fun...first time I had a bloody mary with bacon, was a little spicy but good...I would go just for drinks and pastries :)
Jaylin's huge french toast

Jayme killed her eggs benedict...I had the chicken and waffles, but didn't like it, the waffles were hard and the chicken was too spicy and Jay had shredded pork over rice with egg, which you would think would be amazing, but it was way too hot where you couldn't enjoy it and I like spicy, so was a bummer we didn't like our food
now I know to get their specials...I went back again a few weeks later with friends and got the special, it was a very good breakfast enchilada

and a fruit souffle, but it tasted more like bread pudding, it was as good as it looks :)  So if your in town and want to try a place off the strip, I would recommend this place for brunch.
