Summer Days...

are usually unbearably hot hear in Vegas, so we're usually indoors or finding cool things to do...having ice-cream is very common...hanging out at Crepe Shack playing games

Sweet Addiciton which I have posted plenty of has some of the best combos...and recently learned they can cater to go for parties!

and whenever we can make our own version at home :)
Jayme's favorite, cotton candy ice-cream and chocolate chip cookies

ice-cream at Tasti-Delite...love these pics of Jayson and jay, smiling so hard you can't see his eyes :)

 Cheese!
and when we can, Jay and I will sneak a brunch/lunch date in with some wine and small plates under the misters at a restaurant while the kids watch a movie

wasn't impressed with these littler dinky poppers

but the rest made up for it

as much pool time as possible
team event this month included families, so it was a fun water day at Lake Las Vegas

Jayson now big enough to go down the slide himself

didn't even realize it til we got home that I got scorched!
Been a while since we've been too the Shark reef, so we went on a day we had nothing to do
Jellyfish and Sting rays are our fav
 big fish!

the hunt for a cronut here happened this month, so I could see what the hype was all about...had a big sign at Bread and Butter that they had them, they sell out pretty early

It was good, but I like them separately, love donuts and love croissants, but they weren't as soft together...granted maybe I need to try the original one in NY :)
Happy 4th of July!
got a pretty good spot for fireworks from our work parking area

just picnic'd outside while we waited

the red white and blue continued on at our work quarterly recognition meeting, so of course Jay's idea to not match but complete each other :)
fairly new spot downtown next door to us called the Gold Spike which is a pretty cool place to hang out

fun chairs and beds to lounge in

the red and white to my blue...hee!

Summer Vacay

Things worked out in our favor this year and we were able to go on a summer vacay to the East Coast...Jay and I both had an Under Armour trip a week apart, so I left with the Zappos team first, then Jay and the kids met me in Baltimore after their last day of school so we could spend the week with cousins and then we both went to the 2nd half of the UA meeting together :)  Great bonding time with our buyers and family, 2 for 1 deal worked out great!
first off thanks to Under Armour for having us and for having great product for Spring 14... was really great to see their office and learn about them...I left a fan!  I get to plan for them, Jay gets to write for them...makes work easier when you love the brand :)
getting goodies at their store on the harbor...love their capris and running tanks!

didn't get a picture with the whole team, but sure did with their planner :)  next to me is my kids clothing buyer Shannon, UA's planner Colleen and my adult clothing buyer Carla
they introduced us to one of the city's favorite drinks, orange crushes

can't go to Baltimore and not have seafood...they took us to Mama's for oysters
and a super yummy lobster roll
and look how lumpy the crab cakes were...so good!

after two days of meetings was off the clock and went to Tina's house just about a half hour from where we were with UA, so beautiful on the lake
Jay and I got a few runs in while we were there, broke in my new UA gear :)
kids loved feeding the ducks in the morning
was their first time to fish and jet ski
 fresh catch
Rico and Jaylin made good partners, caught a ton together

so lucky to have Uncle Alan take everyone out on the jetski...I thought he was going to go just around the lake but he went far far out into the Atlantic Ocean
was a little scared for my babies but I knew they were in good hands
was so fun, he went so fast, if my butt is flying up in the air, then you know it was fast...hee!  Me and Kay were pretty much laughing and screaming the whole time.  I drove it for a little while, was pretty hard.  I wish I could have taken my camera, but too risky.  So cool he has taken Tina out on the jetski across the harbor for dinner, so romantic :)
 the kids love jumping off
even this handsome guy had fun fishing, was his first time too...
in between turns they also had this water jumpy to play in...Auntie Tina's is so much fun!

best part was just being able to hang with the cousins

and of course enjoying crab out on the deck :)

beautiful sight!

we went out to DC for a day...Jay wanted to check out DC cupcakes, originally called Georgetown cupcakes since we had watched a few episodes

I must say our new favorite for now...I think better than sprinkles, cupcakery and a few others we've had because the cake is not dry and the flavors are different and super yummy.  I love the orange blossom and coffee cookies and cream

the line was not too bad, was out the door but moved pretty fast, M Street is cute!

we did have a rainy day in so made pizzas with Uncle JJ and Auntie Tina...was so nice to catch up with cousin JJ, he's lived alot, done great things, so good with the kids and pretty sure he will one day have his own day care, creative center or arts center!
he helped make this crazy fort with little separate rooms for everyone
pesto pizza was amazing, the dough was from Ledo's pizza, Oprah's favorite and now I know why :)

and ice-cream sundaes
they just had fun being together, playing, sleepovers in the basement...need to make this an annual thing so they stay close like all of us were when we were younger

me and Kay, 10 days apart...Jay swears we are the same person :)

Che, Kay and Tina introduced us to elevation burger, so good, like Shake Shack but organic so even better!
and ice-cream pie from the Daily Scoop...I think I like it better than ice-cream cake
and cookie butter...so yummy on croissants and pretzels :)  I used to eat peanut butter on a spoon when I was little, this is even better!  Che bought us some to take home, but it didn't make it home :)  Had I known it would be hard to come by in Vegas I would have stocked up!

we were able to celebrate two birthdays while we were there, Kaden's
and Tina's
so grateful to the Silverio's for letting us stay and making us so comfy in their home

one of my favorite pics walking around and some guy comes out of a store and asks me if we are part of a school :)
cute shopping area for a family pic...and DC cupcakes part 2 in one of their other locations...
Jay and I were able to sneak away for a night while Tina watched the kids so we can hang out and go to the second half of the UA meeting
man with these instagram filters, this really looks like it could be a boy band cover...hee!
one last feed for the duckies
to say goodbye...
really going to miss having coffee out on the deck with this view...yummy coffee that is from Canada that Tina makes
was really a blessing to get the chance to go out there and just relax, spend time with family we don't get to see as often as we wish and just have the kids all together...so nice out there!  we didn't think we'd get to go because it gets pricey with airline tickets times 5, but since work covered me and Jay we only had to buy 3 tickets and when dad won some dough he gave us a nice slice which pretty much came out to the cost of the tickets for the kids, then with our generous east coast family, we had to get sneaky to even try to pay for anything, so we were truly spoiled this trip!  So thankful!
