Valentine Birthday Party

This year for Jayme's birthday, we did a small party at home with 10 of her close girlfriends from school. I talked her into having another Valentine themed birthday party

And as some of you know already from FB, these marshmallow pops are what inspired me...I had to have a reason to buy these, they were too cute!

we started the party with a craft

fun Valentine bracelets

as they finished Auntie Dee face painted

as you can see she was very good at it

all the girls wanted both sides of their cheeks painted, design on the right, names on the left

but that wasn't enough, they wanted foreheads too

Jayson joined later after the girly stuff for cake/cupcakes and face painting...cool dragon huh!

they also decorated cookies

these girls were creative, some topped them with a marshmallow

these pink heart marshmallows were a hit

especially after being dipped in chocolate and rolled in sprinkles

kids spread

heart ham and cheese...I'm still making these for the kids lunch today...heart cutter is my new favorite

candy bar

Jayme really wanted to play pin the tail on the donkey, so we did pin the heart on Jayme

I traced her and she drew the rest

octo ring toss

cake...cookie dough ice cream cake was her special request...Thanks Auntie Dee for getting it for her!
cute tradition her friends have...after opening presents, tissue paper fight!

favors

so blessed to have this great little girl!

Bevery Hills 90210

Jaylin had an audition, so we all went and took a last minute road trip...this time the place was on Beverly Hills Drive, so it was really nice to visit 90210...but we only had time to walk around for a little bit and eat lunch. Left at 6am, got to her audition by noon, had lunch and went straight back home

rodeo drive

had lunch at the top of the stairway at 208 rodeo

so nice to eat outside...it was a perfect sunny day in socal

nice view from our table

Jayson's bread was bigger than him

the funniest part was Jay ordered a Salmon sandwich and got this...a little tiny lox slider, luckily I love lox so I ate itI shared my salad with him which was really good, thank goodness not everything was teeny tiny :)

the girls fell in love with sweet potato fries

made a wish before heading back home

passed through the gardens

and did the conga line on our way back to the car

Is there really anything better than a Pazookie?

On the day of Jayme's real birthday we went to BJ's...she wanted a Pazookie...we did have lunch first though :)

one for her...she didn't want to share at first, but she ended up sharing with Jayson...she got the traditional chocolate chip pazookie

one for Mom & Dee...oreo pazookie

and one for Jaylin and daddy...3 total, yes they are that good. Jay and I have a bet, for my birthday I am going to eat 2 all by myself...Jay doesn't think I can do it, but I can :)

sometimes they really do love each other

bday kiss for big sister

Ice Cream in the Winter

If you guys haven't noticed already, we love food, especially dessert! We are so stoked that they opened a dairy queen at our hang out Town Square...freezing but still willing to eat ice-cream...the girls new favorite blizzard, cookie jar-cookie dough and cookies& cream mixed together

we still visit Yogurtland as well, but I'd have to say we've been at DQ more often

and then there is serendipity...we gave their food another chance but we weren't impressed yet again...It's definitely a dessert only place

but go hungry, check out the brownie sundae...it's huge

deep fried oreo sundae, huge too!

January Stuff

Highlights for January were New Years of course, SJ Trip and eating at Boiling Crab :)

the Deguzman clan came to Vegas for NY, we parked by Mandalay Bay to watch fireworks

kids had fun playing in the trunks of all the cars while they waited for countdown, cause it was freezing!

adult toast

we spent the rest of the weekend hanging out...we did a day trip up to Mt. Charleston, about 45 minutes from us...our first time, we didn't realize how close the the snow is to us, love it!
did tons of sledding, even Jayson...all on his own

he loved it!

two birthdays this month, first Auntie Nin at Bucca

then Tylers...so back on the road again up north
the birthday boy had a fun party at Chuck E Cheese
his favorite ride
checkout these cheaters

after the party we had dinner at Boiling Crab...my sisters new place is walking distance from here, target, boba...the perfect location :) I've been wanting to go because of all the talk I see on FB, so I had to check it out and it was worth it!

getting ready...I've been to a crawfish place like this

but having crab and shrimp too was the best...we all ate off the table with our hands, so so good!

even the kids enjoyed

It was a fun weekend with family, thanks for hosting us Songcuans!

Ended the month on a good note, got to have lunch with my scu pals that were in town for a wedding

makino, the best part...thrifty's ice-cream
and we finally got to see baby Joshua and play with Ava
