Valentine Birthday Party

This year we had a Valentine's Party for Jayme's 8th birthday! Can't believe she is 8...8 sounds so much older than 7

the morning started out with heart shaped donuts

then decorating...Jayme was very excited about the monkey balloon daddy bought her...monkey is the nickname Jay gave her when she was a baby

Her birthday was extra special because of the family and friends that came...her best friends from school

Uncle Todd and Auntie Lisa from Boston

who are the parents of cutie pie Lucas

Uncle Neil and Auntie Melissa from the bay

Auntie Nin from San Jose

Uncle Howard, Auntie Liz and new friend Serena from San Diego

Local buds, Uncle Dale and Auntie Darlene...don't they look like they could be her parents :)

their lil one Daphne brought Valentines for the kiddos

First we ate yummy food

then dessert

the kids played musical chairs

hit the heart pinata

and then had cake

presents...she had been wanting this cupcake maker...Alyssa, big sis she never had got it for her

Auntie Tip and Uncle Rick asked her what she wanted and she said a hoola hoop, so that's what she got...we learned she is actually pretty good at it

Uncle Dave told her she could have anything she wanted...he got her way too much as usual, Petz DS game and more
Jonas brothers everything from Auntie Dee

It was really cute, after she was done opening all her gifts, her friends threw the tissue at her. Thanks to everyone that came and for all her fabulous gifts!

then guest left with a party favor...they were heart champagne glasses

filled with candy hearts

and daddy was pooped by the end of the party!

Jayme's birthday at Venetian

On the day of Jayme's real birthday, we stayed the night at the Venetian Hotel. Jayme asked Lola for a hotel room, so Lola got her one free night...can we say spoiled little girl :)

but first we did the cupcake thing at school since her real bday was on a Friday

she got 8 birthday spankings from the teacher

then we hung out at the strip with cousins

finished up the weekend playing with cousins before they had to return to the bay

Miss Jayme had a great birthday month!

date with the D's

the boys, playdate at Dale and Darlene's...hmm which one is the naughty boy? Mateo looks tired, DJ is smiling for the camera, so that leaves Jayson :)

had dinner

jumped in the bouncy house
watched a movie

parents hung out and played foos ball

Loan and Dave also came to town, so we had a night out...kinda weird we sat at the exact same place on our last triple date. We thought we were in a different restaurant, but Stripburger and Cafe Babareeba are actually the same place. We went to Encore and Wynn then the girls watched, "He's jut not that into you" while the guys went bowling

New Year's

Happy New Year again, can you believe the first month of 2009 is already over! This year we celebrated on the strip

right across from Mandalay Bay

cousins from San Jose came to celebrate with us

Jay and I toasted with mini wine bottles

since the deguzman-chau family were in town...we took them to the new Palazzo Hotel

where we saw a new show "the living garden"...Jaylin was a little freaked out by them, she calls them the "white ladies"

then to eat one of our favorite places, Yard House...Jaylin and Angelo, the middle children

Jayson and Maddie...the babies...Jay's sister's three kids are about the same age as our kids but opposite, she has two boys and a girl

Jayme and Marcus the oldests...these two are best cousins, they pretty much grew up together in their baby/toddler years

The day after New Year's we got to stay one free night at the Red Rock resort in Summerlin, Las Vegas...we've eaten and gone swimming here before, but it was our first time to stay the night...

the view from our room was great!

We ate buffet and the kids played at Kids Quest, an indoor play area for kids that is filled with all kinds of stuff like dress up/kareoke, dolls, kitchen, obstacle course, slides, etc...parents drop the kids off and you pay by the hour...it's totally safe :)

Thanks for hooking it up again Lola!
