Girls Getaway

I got to celebrate my birthday early in Healdsburg with the girls

got in on a Friday...the early group had lunch at costeaux's

dessert wine tasting at Rosenblum's and Christina Cullen

followed by walking around the cute little town
then we all made dinner...homemade pizzas, a Christina recipe

yum right!

it was a fun evening of chatting, catching up

the girls even surprised me with bday cupcakes...so sweet aren't they

then we just lounged and watched a movie, the house we rented was the perfect place to do just that

Saturday was winery day...the first was the Lynmar Estates...very beautiful

nice because we could all sit at one table

and play, "have you ever" or "I have never" :)

second stop was bubbly and very yummy

only some could hang for a third winery, the rest snacked...there was a fourth planned...but we didn't make it that far :)

My trip started and ended in SF

breakfast with cousin Dave

Froyo with Paula and Gina

love the city...hope to be back soon!

Trip to the Bay

this month we also had a nice trip up to the bay...Jay had his bachlorette...oops bachelor party in Tahoe while the kids and I spent some time in San Jose and SF

but before he took off, I got in a girls night with my SCU BFF's :) we hung out at Loan's sisters place at Santana Row, we ordered in and just chatted and played our new game, "have you ever"

after we dropped of Jay to meet up with the guys, we spent the whole day in SF... rooftop view at Uncle Dave's apt....so cool!
Uncle Dave took us to the new academy of science
we saw stingrays
gazelles
penguins
and lots of fish
then Uncle Dave took the girls shopping at Sanrio
I was excited for take out at Burma Superstar...a new SF favorite I've been wanting to try
on the way home from the city we stopped for a quick visit to the Lee's where Jayme got her first coach purse from Auntie Christina of course :) Jayme was so excited!
and we finally got to meet Gabby!
the rest of the weekend was spent in San Jose...met more new babies
Isabella
we visited our home church River of Life and had lunch with the Castro's
went to see Uncle Pat and Auntie Vanessa

It was a full but easy going weekend...always nice to see friends and family

Jay's birthday

Jay turned 35 this year

we took a walk to this nearby Japanese restaurant that we had been wanting to try

then we went home to eat cake and open presents...I let the girls pick out their own gifts, Jaylin wanted to get daddy a "blusher" the thing to make smoothies and drinks...she was so excited about it she could barely keep it a secret

daddy also got a new watch and new kitchen suppliers for cooking :)

The "M Resort"

The new place for locals to be lately is the new "M Resort" in Henderson. I have only been there twice, first with my mom and sister, then for a team event with co-workers

We first hung out at the Hostile Grape wine bar...my first time to go to one

you just charge up a prepaid card and try a bunch of different wines by the splash or glass

from these little portals...layer cake was a winner with us

the three asian girls on the team...people would joke when I first started because there was only two asian girls and one american boy, I was the third asian so it was like, why is everyone in merchandise planning asian? now we are a team of 15

being silly, making Jarett faces...he's the diva of the team :)

as you can see, we all give him a hard time

after we "obeyed the grape" we had dinner at the buffet

where the beer and wine is included, all for twenty bucks

they have great crab legs, sashimi and tons of other good food, it's all fresh and not dry like other places, it's comparable to the Wynn buffet but less in price

call me crazy...I took pics of my food especially since Jay didn't go with me either time, I wanted to show him all I ate...we're going here on our next date night :) I didn't even get to all the American, Italian and Thai food

dessert was decent

included chocolate covered strawberries and
gelato

so your next visit to Vegas, the M is a must go!

1st day of Spring

Spring is here, weather is great, so we were out having boba
playing in the grass at Town Square

took a bike ride around the center...girls were syked that they got to ride on their own

we followed right behind

hands up!!!

then did some gymnastics on the way out

finished off the night at Joe's crab shack

my baby praying for his food...lots to be thankful for, it was a great day!
