Christmas

Before we meet up with the big fam, we do our own Christmas at home which is always so much fun because the kids get so excited to see what they got each other, we get them a few things, let them get each other something small and then do stockings
if they could only show this much love to each other daily...most of the time these two are at it
found this really cute mug for Jayme from Jayson that has an opening at the bottom to stick a cookie in, pretty clever and this girl loves her choc chip cookies and had asked for a Christmas mug so it was perfect!
so happy to get his own fuzzy socks since he'd been wearing mine and put his sports pjs that he asked for on right away
I love these little stocking stuffers I found for the girls at Francesca's, cute lil prayer boxes for both, necklace for Jaylin and an infinity ring for Jayme since she's into all that

got my first mom jewelry...it was really cute how their school had items to buy your parents ranging from $1 to $10, so Jaylin got me this necklace and Jayson got me a big ruby ring, love them :)
and the kids so excited to give daddy his 49er stuff
then up to Tahoe to meet the rest of the fam.  Cousin Marv found the perfect house for us...felt like a Christmas movie :)  2 miles from heavenly, cozy, very open layout, all decorated for Christmas and 8 bedrooms to fit us all just right.  The owner is from the Jefferson Starship band?

and of course the kids excited to get bunk beds

we take dessert very seriously, so we went straight to i, pretzel turtles, smore pops and chocolate dipped pretzels
working hard
Christmas Eve started with Snowboarding...enjoyed the scenic Gondola ride up
kids had the best teacher :)  I thought they would have a hard time, but surprisingly they caught on pretty quick...they all did so good!
I was super super excited for this tube thing because the hardest part for me is the lift so I was like how are the kids going to learn that, but at Heavenly they have the escalator like tube up and you can slide off or just step off to the side, genius!  So easy, took so much of the anxiety away for the day :)
was a nice day out, we spent most of the day on this one hill.  I really like Heavenly because they were so nice to the kids, getting equipment was very organized and the tube!
cooks of the house made us good food all weekend
we're talking some of the best lechon, ham and one of my favorite breakfasts, crab omelet, cornbeef and rice, too much good food!
We celebrated and did presents the night of Christmas Eve
some fun gifts...headwraps for these trendy girls
 Hands free wine cozies :)
 and super snuggies
hats for all the kids, not just any hats but ones with moving tails as seen on tv...thx Auntie Tip!
I got kisses :)  I think our first kissy pic...hee!

Santa even came, Jaylin had to help him read off the names :)
panoramic view of the Christmas craziness...was a lot of fun, the kids spoiled by the fam as usual, super cute clothes and accessories for the girls and Jayson wanted sports everything he got his first basketball, football, baseball, lucky kid!
my lovely parents by the fire
with their grandkids
the Pena's...we so had planned to do a big family photo, but we never got to it :(
gotta love Jaylin's note to Santa...can't have Santa eat any of her food in the house...I was very proud of her for her creative cookie, I told her to use whatever she could that was in the house, so she melted some chocolate, took candies from her gingerbread house and used pretzels and a rolo to make reindeer cookies :)
Christmas Day was a chill day at the house...sledding in the morning where I took my favorite action shot of Tip and Ethan :)

it was really beautiful out...if only we could live in the woods
It was a really nice White Christmas, just being with family was fun!  Jay and I hadn't been boarding together since before Jayme, so it was really cool to finally take the whole family :)

bienvenido a Miami

Finally made a trip out to Miami to visit Aubrey
was a very special occasion, baby Isaiah's baptism and I was a very proud godmother :)  Was nice to see the whole family!
since the baptsim was the first weekend in November it fell right in between Dee and Tip's birthday, so we made a cousin trip out of it :)
started off with shopping and our first coffee toast, we were very excited for yummy cuban coffee all weekend and the hotel told us this little whole in the wall place called munchies had the best and it was from the few places we tried

then lunch for our first cuban meal at Havana 1957

Aub said we had to have ropa vieja...I love the rice, beans and plantain mix with anything :)

Aub's and Tariq hooked it up for us and got us a good deal at the Ritz on the beach, perfect location on the beach, close to all the shopping and great places to eat

We celebrated the birthday girls at Larios, Gloria Estefan's restuarant, loved the birthday fire dessert!

I love plantains with rice, which the goal of the trip in addition to seeing the babies, was to eat cuban food and drink coffee all day every day, yum!

then had to have one of these when we were walking down along the road in south beach, so we pulled over to try :)  was actually pretty good

then we checked out the Clevelander and Mangos
morning coffee and sandwhiches, teeny break from cuban food :)
back to the room and surprised with birthday balloons, champagne and chocolates
GNO day 2 was with Aubrey, Alison and Daria
Appetizers and desserts at Yucca and then fun at sls...you know trying to take to many pics :)
didn't hit the beach til the last day, but we made it, windy hair and all
Melissa got her hand stand in
and we found the most perfect true shirt for Dee :)
went for our last mean at Puerto Sagua, for rice, plaintains and oxtail this time
was proud of myself that I was able to fit all my stuff in my big Philip Lim purse, best 60 bucks I've spent, this bag holds a ton.  I fit all my stuff for the 2 nights.  We were flying spirit and I refused to pay any extra fees, second time I've been able to beat their system...hee!  Wore my heavier shoes, packed a pair of booties, 4 dresses, pjs, undies, beachwear and toiletries.  I only do this on Spirit!

it was a nice relaxing, just fun trip with the family, so glad we made it work to all go!
 Love you guys!
