its our anniversary

For our 10yr thought it would be fun to send our bridal party love cards, thanking them for being part of our special day 10 years ago...each card had a different little message about love

also included was a coffee bag so they could toast with us in spirit...our Friday morning thing is coffee at starbucks

totally optional to participate and send in pictures...

was so excited to get our first picture...how cute are Tip & Rick...love you guys!

Cheers Nin! Love you too!
best man Will
Alex and Derek...such good sports the guys were :)
sponsors Mark and Diana...didn't get 100% participation, people no fun...hee! but that's okay, was still a fun time, especially making the cards :)

we decided to get dirty for dinner...Hot n Spicy

so yummy!

then got our dessert fix at Brio...10yrs flew by so fast, so blessed!!! couldn't have married a better man

another special anniversary

our church the Crossing has the same anniversary as us 9/24/00, they decided to do a big serve in the community, there were about 10 different things to choose from, we chose to clean up a recreation center because it was one that the family could do together

jay and I signed up to paint and the kids did light cleaning and were able to play in the gym while waiting for the parents...turned out jay told me to just stay with the kids, so he painted for the both of us :)

jaylin and jayson wiping down the bleachers while jayme was out with a group picking up trash

afterwards kids got to play in the inflatables

and do a bunch of relay races
then at the end of the day everyone regrouped at the park for bbq, music

cotton candy
and more inflatables...the big ship

so fun! he was so excited and went down another time

we love our church and are so happy to be part of one that understands we aren't perferct, we are all jacked up, on a journey seeking God, living our lives based on His teachings. It's a come as you are church, whose mission is to Love God and Love People and what better way than to serve our hometown Las Vegas, check it out for on-line messages when you can't make it to church

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was full of pools...we started off Friday at Auntie Tips pool

practiced swimming and tredding

Saturday still stayed local and went to check out the Rio pool

it was pretty nice

had sand areas for the kids to play

started to bury his feet
then started to cover minethen all of a sudden I was getting a sand pedicure :)

it was a good time, felt good to be out in the nice sun in Sept, not the burning hot sun of the summer
then after hanging out at home, we decided last minute on Sunday to go to SoCal for the rest of the holiday...first, roadtrip slurpees!

we went to check out Rommell and Tish's time share in Escondido, was pretty neat to be surrounded by mountains

this one was getting brave

short trip, but a good one...anything to see cousins

Zappos stuff = lots of FOOD

This month we definitely ate way too much, but it was very enjoyable as Jay and I do love to eat :) August is when the apparel show MAGIC is in town and we go with the buyers to some of their appointments. Because Jay and I work closely with some of the same buyers, we sometimes get invited to the same dinners, kind of nice, like a work date night :)

vendor dinner at Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay...the burgers are pretty good, but the dessert is super cute and yummy so worth a try...burger looking dessert

alcoholic coffee milkshake...YUM!

Delmonico Steakhouse at Venetian...Amazing! Food was too good I didn't take any pictures...hee! I had and highly recommend the salmon and ahi tuna tartar, filet, au gratin potatoes and spinach

lunch at Border Grill in Mandalay Bay, the ceviche was delightful

as was the Carnitas
and the company of some of my zappos family, Jarett and Sarah
then there was our annual Vendor Party, zappos way of saying thank you to the vendor community....sliders were the best ever and found out they were from LBS restaurant at Red Rock, so will definitely be going there

we made Jay go back and get us seconds
me and Tip..for those of you that don't know yet, there are 4 of us now at zappos, we're taking over...hee!
The highlight of the party for me was I got to Zipline...I was actually really scared when I got up there
It went from the back corner across the main floor
and it wouldn't be a zappos party without randomness...like having a giraffe at the party

Girly Time

Had a few girl outings this month...First, Juicy Couture Clue with my zappos BFF's...actual board game with people like Candy Couture and Terri Velour, charms like a diamond ring and a high heel shoe and rooms called Candy Room, Shoe Pavillion and Walk in closet

Michelle hosted and made us yummy salad, brownies and martinis :)

I was Terri Velour because I am beautiful & self-centered...hee! Thought I played strategically, but lost both games...was close though, got 2 out of 3 both times

Towards the end of the month, the CA girls came out for Riza's bachlorette party

dinner at their favorite Filipino place when they are in town, Philippine Garden
got everything from sinigang, lumpia, palaboc, adobo and even coconut juice...no wonder they love that place, close to the strip and good...I find that visitors love to eat at the filipino restaurants before they leave, there must be a void in San Jose :)

1st night out at Tryst with the beautiful ladies...just noticed I have the longest dress on, must step it up for next time...hee!
table service along with nice weather made for a fun night!

2nd night out was at JET, King Ink and XS
me & Aub

ran into HWood (sings "punk rock chick") and hung out for a while, pretty cool guy

was so nice to see good friends from/since High School...crazy how long we've known each other, we're getting old I guess...Riza will always have a special place in our hearts because she is the one who introduced Jay and I and forced us together and didn't even know it :) Love you Reez, Congrats again!
Auntie Aubrey stayed an extra night to spend time with the kids...played manacala aka sungka

played dress up...it was so cute, after church Aubrey went to change into more comfy clothes and Jayme did the same, she picked a matching outfit...she loves having older sister like role-models

then Auntie Aubrey took them to yogurtland before heading home...til next time, we miss you!
