what a great idea that after dancing there were snacks :)

we called it a night at about 1am in the morning, hung out and rested, but didn't want to sleep since I was heading to the airport at about 3:30am to catch my 5am flight to San Diego

Thanks Dave for driving me to the airport and Congrats Mark and Tania on the engagement...that will be the next wedding!

to another

got to San Diego Sunday morning, July 4th just in time to go to the beach with the family

Jayson loved running from the waves

the girls

and Jay found me some funnel cake :)

fireworks on the beachthen on the way home stopped at Victoria Gardens for some shopping and more water fun

keeping cool in Vegas

July and August are the hottest months here, so we try to do what we can to get out without getting burned

Mountains Edge park
Our free slurpees on 7/11

hanging out at starbucks...a little too early one time, the kids fell asleep

and we eat, eat, eat...Jaylin always has the strangest combos, here it is garlic noodles on top of her cheese pizza
pazookie's with Lola before she left
the girls also got to try ice skating for the first time for their friends birthday...check out these cool walkers they have now
a little scared at first

but she got the hang of it fast

Jaylin was so determined

Busy in th Bay

June started out with a road trip to the bay for a girls SF food tour, my godson's baptism and Carrie and Marv's baby shower...got a lot done in the few days we were there. Left Vegas early Thursday am and as soon as we got to SJ, got a hair cut, visit cousins, then hung out at Melissa's house while Jay had his dinner out with the guys

Friday was my turn, spent the whole day in SF from 9am - midnight :) First stop was Brenda's French Soul Food...our ghetto food tour as we called it was hosted by Christina...the best person in the city to give one...front parking at all of our stops while driving fast throughout the city as there was no time for stopping during the tour :)

first time I had shrimp & grits

beignet flight included crawfish, chocolate, apple and a plain beignet...I liked them all, probably the chocolate and apple together were the best :)

2nd stop, Dynamo Donut for their famous maple bacon donut, third one over below as well as the other different flavors listed above...interesting taste but I prefer a plain glazed donut :) I want to go back and taste the vanilla bean as I wasn't a fan of the spiced chocolate or chocolate rosemary almond

3rd stop Paulette's for french macaroons...so good I am still craving them...my favorite flavors are rose almond, coconut and caramel
we did take a break from eating to watch SATC2 at the Kabuki theatre, but then right after stopped for takeout at San Tung for their famous wings and dumplings...and spotted dessert a few stores down at Peasant Pies
we seriously got one of each kind
then for a quick break at Christina's to get ready for dinner at Roy's with the rest of the SCU gang...we were pretty much done with eating by then
SCU 10 yr reunion dinner, thanks to our elder Johannah for planning

stopped at a bar/lounge for a little but then called it a night...it was a long day

Saturday am was Christian's baptism
my Godson is a happy cutie pie with lots of dinner rolls :)

this was only one of the tables...can't expect anything less from the Tan family

loved his bible cake

then late afternoon we went to Marv and Carrie's baby shower in redwood city...Uncle Marv!

kids had so much fun playing

they needed a fan break with Uncle Ralph and Auntie Grace

then more play fighting with Auntie Amanda and Uncle Abe

Jayson got put into rest time so many times on the couch...getting into some serious conversation with Uncle Mark

present time was out on the deck

Lola Rose giving out m&m's for kisses

Congratulations Auntie Carrie, can't wait to meet your little girl!

From there we headed home, at about 9pm so I could catch my NYC flight at 11am the next morning...Crazy! Was sad to leave, wish we could have hung out with the family longer
